LexisNexis Academic Web Seminars

LexisNexis has now posted their summer web seminar schedules at:   http://www.lexisnexis.com/academicwebseminars/

You’ll receive immediate confirmation of registration and the instructions for logging in to the seminar are emailed about 24 hours before the seminar itself.  Please be sure to note the date(s) you’ve signed up for on your calendar.

While there are sessions scheduled throughout the summer (and the seminar schedule is organized by type of training rather than by date), we’ve scheduled one week each month for “summer school” where you can get one seminar for each of the Overview, Business Research, Legal Research and Finding Sources.  Note:  You can sign up for any, or all, of the summer school sessions!

  • Each seminar runs about one hour.

Just fyi (since I do this one!) the session on Finding Sources combines techniques within the interface for finding sources (what’s different about Browse and Find, for example) and for searching for individual titles with using sources like the Subscriber Resources site and del.icio.us tags for creating direct links to sources and creating URLs for searches.
