It is an afternoon paper Monday through Friday. It is a morning paper on Saturday, Sunday and holidays. On Sunday, it is called the Sunday Chronicle. "Sunday" replaces "Muskegon" on the masthead. It is the largest paper of the week. It started publication in 1970. Because of common ownership with the Grand Rapids Press, the Chronicle's coverage and distribution focuses on Muskegon, Newaygo, Oceana, and Ottawa County north of the Grand River, while the Press focuses on Kent, Ottawa (south of the Grand River) and Allegan counties. These two papers often publish each other's stories.

DESCRIPTION: The Star-Ledger is the leading newspaper of New Jersey and is the 12th biggest newspaper in the United States by circulation, with average daily weekday circulation of more than 400,000, and about 600,000 on Sundays. The Newark Daily Advertiser, founded in 1832, was Newark's first daily newspaper. It subsequently evolved into the Newark Star-Eagle, which merged with the Newark Ledger to become the Newark Star-Ledger, later changed to simply The Star-Ledger. Although New Jersey is suburban by nature, The Star-Ledger deemphasized local news while many of the other newspapers in New Jersey covered more regional news.

The current circulation is 68,700 daily and 88,300 Sunday. The Advance was first published in 1886 by the printer John J. Crawford and the businessman James C. Kennedy as the Richmond County Advance.
