Thomson Gale Scheduled Maintenance

Thomson Gale will be performing network maintenance and upgrades on Sunday Feb 4, 2007 between 7:00am-8:00am. (EST). There may be intermittent disruptions in accessing Thomson Gale online subscriptions during this period.  A system outage for the duration of this maintenance is not expected.

iCONN (including reQuest) will unavailable on Wednesday, January 24, 2007 beginning at 12:01 a.m., but will be back up no later than 7 a.m.  Auto-Graphics will be installing an update to their AGent software.

ScienceDirect system downtime January 20th

The ScienceDirect search functionality will be upgraded on Saturday January 20th, resulting in some system downtime. It is anticipated that ScienceDirect will be unavailable from 2:30 PM until 8:30 PM.

Library Closed for Martin Luther King Holiday

The Cole Library will join the rest of Rensselaer in closing to observe the Martin Luther King, Jr. Holiday on Monday, January 15. There will be no classes and the facility will be closed January 15.

STAT-USA(r) continues its efforts to provide its customers with timely and relevant business and economic information by adding the U.S. Census Bureau's Statistical Abstract of the United States to STAT-USA/Internet. No longer will users need to purchase the CD-ROM for a separate fee. This comprehensive study of the political, social and economic makeup of the United States is now included in your existing subscriptions through the State of the Nation Library.

Thomson Gale is experiencing problems with their online databases. Engineers are working to correct the problem as quickly as possible.
