Upcoming EBSCO Electrical System Upgrades

We are working to replace our existing Generators, UPS, and HVAC systems to ensure that we can provide access to EJS, A-to-Z, and LinkSource during storms, disasters and other power outages. To that end, we have upgraded our power capacity and are now in the process of installing new high-capacity back up generators.

The final two phases of this project will be conducted as follows:
* Saturday, 28 October 2006. We expect no system outages during this phase.
* Sunday, 19 November 2006. To perform this final installation, we have no choice but to shut down our computer facilities from 6 a.m. until 1 p.m. CST (12 noon until 7 p.m. GMT).

We know that many end users perform research on weekends, and we apologize for the inconvenience to you and them. We want to give you time to prepare your staff and users for this planned outage on 19 November. Thank you for your patience as we work to improve our service to you.
